ABOUT THE LOCATION - KRK

Krk is one of Croatia’s most accessible islands because it is connected to the mainland by the Krk Bridge, while Rijeka Airport is located on the island itself. Kras is a small and peaceful village in the central part of Krk and provides an excellent base for exploring the island without being tied to a single coastal resort.

The nearest beaches around Soline Bay, Čižići, Klimno and Šilo are approximately 8-12 minutes away by car, while Malinska and its beaches are around 10-12 minutes away. Krk Old Town, Punat Marina, Vrbnik and Biserujka Cave can generally be reached in around 12-20 minutes, while Baška, Vela Beach and Jurandvor are about 35-40 minutes away. Recommended visits include Krk Old Town and Frankopan Castle, Košljun Islet, Vrbnik and its wineries, Biserujka Cave, Baška and the island’s many coves and beaches.

Private boat trips with a skipper, airport transfers and massage services can be arranged or recommended on request. Krk is also ideal for cycling, hiking, diving, SUP, kayaking and discovering local food and wine.

Kras is a small and peaceful village in Krk’s green interior, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, dry-stone walls and a traditional island landscape. The setting is ideal for guests who want privacy, quiet and a relaxing holiday without urban noise, while still being only a short drive from the sea and the island’s main destinations.

The central location makes it easy to travel in different directions towards Soline Bay and Šilo, Malinska, Krk Town, Vrbnik, Punat and Baška. A local grocery store, park and children’s playground are within walking distance, while larger supermarkets, restaurants, beaches, the marina and medical services are a short drive away. Guests can choose a different beach, town or excursion every day and return afterwards to the peace and privacy of the fully enclosed villa.
